Celebrating an Inspiring Woman runner!

Ali took some leave from her job as a Financial Analyst (as well as her design project which she does on the side to20482149_1649315545103207_4456056323678666752_n keep her creative side engaged) in Georgia, Atlanta, to join her husband on a business/leisure trip to Cape Town.  As she is in training for a marathon, Ali wanted to continue her training programme & we had the pleasure of having her join us for a couple of awesome running tours around the city; including a historical city run, lion’s head trail run, a run along the coast in False Bay, a run on Tafelberg Road overlooking our beautiful city and a final run along Sea Point to Camps Bay.

20634621_159231331299729_1591061215939919872_nWhilst running, Run Cape Town learned that Ali has run 140 half marathons and 8 marathons, including the legendary New York Marathon, which she has run more than once, one time having secured her entry by raising funds for the charity “Team for Kids”.   Her plan now is to ruIMG_1423n the Chicago Marathon in under 4 hours to qualify for the Boston Marathon. After this goal, she aims to run on all the 7 continents in the world … !! We had some chats about this and the order that the runs will happen in, and Ali reckons that Antarctica will probably be the hardest to access – and the chilliest – but I have no doubt this lovely, strong, gentle and adventurous lady will conquer all, with a beautiful humble smile on her face!

We really enjoyed meeting & running with you Ali, thanks for all your support.

Keep up the great & inspiring running & stay in touch!
