Special guest included Bastien, manager and #sightrunning guide at “Brussles Sightjogging”, who was in town visiting friends. Being an avid trail runner, Bastien also took part in the Dryland Travers, a 4-day trail running stage event that takes place in the Klein Karoo. It was great to share stories and compare notes on #sightrunning tours in Europe and South Africa!
On Friday, power-couple Ginger & Ryan from Austin Texas joined us for 30km of marathon training along the False Bay Coast. The weather was perfect – slightly overcast with a light breeze, and we had a lovely time hearing their adventures of international #sightrunning… Ginger & Ryan did two running tours in Barcelona with running guide Robin from “Running Tours Barcelona”, including ‘one epic run over the Montjuic Hill in stormy conditions when the Police advised us to leave immediately’ in 2011. Crazy times right?! They have also done a
3sightrunning tour through Paris, so we were delighted that they contacted us at Run Cape Town to go for a run along one of our beautiful coastlines 🙂
Our very first guest from the Philippines, Robby, joined us for a #sightrunning tour in False Bay, sharing very interesting stories about his travels, as well as life in Manila. This is the THIRD place Robby has done a #sightrunning tour, after having run in Lima and Sydney as well! Yesterday Rowena joined Run Cape Town for a trail running tour around Lion’s Head. She had her first experience of #sightrunning in New York and so decided to have a go at running with us in Cape Town – as Rowena said, a really nice change from running on the “dreadmill”!
So there’s the proof, #sightrunning is trending – visit www.gorunningtours.com to book a running tour during your next holiday or business trip, and explore the city you’re visiting in a unique, active, fun & healthy way!
